Okay folks. Bearblast, the conjoined Khador/Beornve event will be in July. Either 9th or 16th. Some details there need to be ironed out.
In preparation of our event, I'd like to sit down and talk about our role in the event. Namely, we'll be getting the location, organizing the feast, handling weapon's check, tending to the sign in things, handling money, and so on and so forth. Because of this, I would like to throw out who I would like to see working where.
Weapon's Check Head - Kracken or Brooder
Weapon's Checkers - Waffle, Frozgaar, Quarian
Front Desk (handling sign ins, waivers, tending to money, etc) - Ironside, Wren, 1 or 2 more. Since this is where money is coming in at, I absolutely want to be at this station.
Heralds - Anyone experienced with heralding. Beornve should also provide a herald or two.
We'll also need people to help make event tokens, which we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Warbraids will be the likely candidate.
Beornve said they will take care of making feast. I would like myself and Saxavarious to coordinate the feast. Khador will also need to provide servers, so there's another place we can put our non-coms and various volunteers.
We also need to talk on a price for the one day event. I think 5 dollars a head will work out fine.
Alright, Bearblast planning. Two cents and ideas from the general public. Go.

id have no problem helping Weapons Check
If were expecting the same numbers for the Not-So-Mini Mini then what kind of battles would we be looking at?
4 corners Bridge(s) Line fights(obviously) Realm & Unit
Anything other than the norm?

We've plotted a couple ideas for a Caravan scenario. Unless we can plot up any other special battles, I think we'll stick to the norm.

Serving the food....do you mean like dishing out stuff or actually taking food around to tables or something? Honestly, buffet style would probably work best....people coming to the food and us dishing it out to them as the come.
Oh yeah, plates, cups, silverware also would fall under budget....under feast. Probably should have some coolers and stuff for water while fighting as well. People should know to bring their own, but people forget and run out too. We used to have a good number or jug coolers. I can see if I can borrow some if we still have them.

Don't worry about feast budgeting. I can figure all that out and more or less have already. But yes, buffet style will be what we do. We won't provide water, but we can make gatorade or something and provide a drinks for feast.

I have no problems helping weapons check. This may be a silly question, but just so I'm on the same page, we three Kovniks wouldn't be the only ones checking right? Cause if we have the same kinda turn out, we'd spend like three hours checking weapons...lol
Also, I think it'd be cool to try a large scale capture the flag battle, possibly in the woods if there's a woodline big enough. We might also look into trying those sacred circle battles they do at Rhun closer. Those are always fun.

Beornve should also provide a person or two for checking weapons. Otherwise, we'll put in more Khador folks to check.

We did that...large scale capture the flag in the woods...with your mini in 2007 and it AWESOME! We should totally do it again! Also, Ironside, Ursyne and I are in charge of the tokens. That's been okayed with both Kracken and Karyx months ago. So you don't need to worry about that beyond budget.

First I've heard about it. As realm treasurer, I need to be in the loop on anything involving any of the realm's coin. So keep me posted on what you guys come up with.

And that our discussion is just our realm only. We also need equal input and equal work from them. Also, I can be head weapons checker or head herald.

Everyone just be aware that this is our event, we want it to run smooth and problem free. Aside from money handling, if you're not on a job already and you see someone that needs help, offer to help. If weapons check looks like hell or there's only one herald on the field, pitch in. We're cool like that. I can double up on checking weapons and heralding. We could probably set up a rotation of heralding too. Either next practice or whenever at the next realm meeting we should set up a schedule. I'm still all for the King Escort battle through the woods. Especially if HD actually shows up like they say. It would be amazing. I still think Gold Rush would be an awesome game but still haven't quite figured that one out.

A meeting would be good. Sunday is Easter, so a chunk of us probably won't be out there. How about a realm meeting the week after?
Brooder, if you could take the reigns as head herold, that would be fantastic.
Swerv, we can never have enough weapon checkers. =3
Also before this event, we should think about getting a postal scale and whatever they use for checking draw weights on bows.

Ironside, explain this postal scale please? I'm thinking a scale used to weight mail...which doesn't useful for a bow.
Also wouldn't mind learning how test weapons. Really need to start to learning more of that kind of stuff.
May I suggest maybe having like "committees" (for lack of possible better term) for different areas? Like food committee/group, weapons, heralding, whatever else may be needed. Have one person be in charge of everything in that area to report back to the main people heading up the entire event. May make things easier, may not. Just a thought.
