The big officer meeting resulted in this: Khador's by-laws. Freshly written, proposed and approved to and by the officers of the realm. Now it's up for discussion. Anything regarding the by-laws below, post here; be it question, comment or concern.
Article 1 - Weapon Restrictions
1.1 New fighters of Khador are restricted from using Class 2 (red) weapons, Class 3 ‘Spear’, archery equipment, or Class 1 ‘Flail’.
1.2 After one season of fighting with Class 1 ‘Flatblade’ or ‘Roundblade’ and a shield or second Class 1 ‘Flatblade’ or ‘Roundblade’, this restriction is lifted.
1.3 Members who wish to use restricted weapons may work off the main field of combat in learning the proper use of said weapon. The restriction on that weapon type will be lifted at the trainer’s discretion with officer approval.
1.3A The trainer must be a fighter who has a minimum of 2 seasons of fighting and has an advanced understanding on the use of the weapon.
1.4 The weapon restriction may be lifted from a member at any time at an officer of the realm’s discretion.
1.5 The weapon restriction may be placed even after a season of fighting on a member at an officer of the realm’s discretion.
Article 2 - Membership and Ranking
2.1 A basic member is any person above the age of sixteen who attends a minimum of eight practices per season and does not claim another BMCS realm.
2.2 A paid member is any basic member who pays the optional realm due.
2.3 An Abroad member is any member who fights outside of Khador, who still wishes to claim Khador as their realm.
2.3A Special circumstances may prevent a member from claiming Abroad status.
2.4 An officer is given the title of Premier, Supreme Kommandant, Kommandant, or Quartermaster.
2.4A Premier serves as president of the realm.
2.4B Supreme Kommandant serves as vice-president of the realm.
2.4C Kommandant serves as Treasurer of the realm.
2.5 Quartermaster serves as equipment manager of the realm.
2.6 Special ranks given to combative members are: Kapitain, Kovnik, Kommander.
2.7 Special ranks given to non-combative members are: Magziev, Kouldun, Obavnik.
Article 3 – Practice Protocol
3.1 Practice is defined by presence of 1 officer, 1 herald and 5 members.
3.2 A herald must be present for any and all field battles.
3.2A The herald is to encourage fighters to stretch before the first battle of the day.
3.3 A break for water shall be called after a minimum of 30 minutes of fighting.
3.4 A water break shall not exceed 10 minutes.
Article 4 – Voting and Ammendments
4.1 All elections and issues are decided by majority vote.
4.2 Officer elections take place the Sunday following Oktoberfest.
4.2A The election is a three week process of Nominations, Debates, and Election.
4.2B Officers officially begin office directly following the end of the election.
4.3 Officers may resign or be removed from office.
4.4 Should the Premier of Khador resign or be removed, the Supreme Kommandant will become Premier. Duties of Supreme Kommandant will be divided between Supreme Kommandant and Konmmandant.
4.5 Should Supreme Kommandant or Kommandant resign or be removed, duties of the position shall be divided among the remaining officers.
4.6 Should two officers resign or be removed, an election following constitutional guidelines will be held.
4.6 Any changes or amendments to the constitution or by-laws must follow a process of Proposal, Discussion, Motion, Vote.
4.6A Changes or amendments to the constitution or by-laws must be proposed to officers of the realm.
4.6B If the officers have majority vote, the proposal is brought to discussion with members of the realm.
4.6C Should feedback in discussion seem positive, a motion will be made to paid members of the realm.
4.6D Once motioned and seconded, the motion goes to vote.
4.6E None of these steps shall exceed three days.
4.7 Members are allowed only one nomination or one second in an officer election. They may not nomination and second, or second two people for nomination.
(Example: A member may not nominate a member for a position, then second another member for the position.)
4.7A Members may nominate or second for each officer position.
(Example: A member may nominate a member for Premier, then second a nominee for Kommandant.)
