Ok so im not entirely new to belegarth but this is my first time going serious with it and actualy joining a realm. iv got a hell of an immagination and i have my basic idea of what i wana do so im going to give the basic low down of it then ask for any helpful advice on how exctly to go about it.
The primaray design is entirely black (ill ad details later) the pants id like to wear would be white/gray but they have to be mroe baggy correct? the design is tunic based im going to shred the ends a bit make it look tattered i suppose. i was wondering what would be a good imitation for white wolf fur to put around the shoulders and neck area. also it will have the back and sides going down towards my fett a bit past my knees the sides would wrap around like a medeivil skirt. of course id have boots or depending bare feet. then the belt flag itself i was going to have be part of the costumehanging mid front down the groin area. the normal red with the khador symbol. (note late will add armor but ass i said im just getting started) so thats the baic idea any suggestions would be appreciated or anyone that would like to work with me ont he project itself though my mobility is limited atm.

Keep in mind that you will get legged and you will get knocked into the dirt. I avoid the lighter colors for that reason.

Hello, Ezid. I'd be happy to help you with a garb design to best of my abilities. I like doing that kind of stuff. As for the fake fur...might want to go to JoAnn's or some fabric store and ask about that. Some things to keep in mind with that and garb in general is, as Swerv said, expect to get dirty. Dirt even shows up on black. I'm converting an old pair of garb pants into a skirt because of that. The fake fur may require more than a spin in the washing machine to clean it, and may cause "issues" (for lack of a better term) in warmer temperatures. Just some things to think about with that. Also, I think it was settled that in order to receive an official Khador belt flag, one has to got through a trial of some sort. There's guidelines with wearing the symbol...although beyond the belt flag and the patch (which is Wilhelm's thing) I'm not 100% what those are. As for the different colors, you'd have to ask the guys in charge. Also, if you're new to this, you may want to wait a while with the armor. That way you don't rely on it or get too used to it. Sometimes, newbie's are "held back" (again using term loosely) because they start relying on or get too used to armor, causing them to possibly not excel as much as a fighter. Just some thoughts and what not.

Hey Ezid, welcome to the boards. Nice to see our newer folks showing a lot of interest like this.
To point out, Swerv said it with the mud and grass and grime. Those stains can be difficult to get out of white, or lighter gray. So on that, I would suggest shooing for darker colored pants. That is, unless you don't mind having to wash the hell out of your pants after every practice. A darker gray would probably be okay for this little problem.
Now as for your blue khador symbol. Our colors are red and yellow. Because of that, I would honestly say don't make the symbol itself blue. However, adding a blue trim to your beltflag or around the symbol wouldn't be too bad. A couple of our fighters have their flags trimmed in different colors.
We do have some by-laws in Khador which are (currently) unwritten. When you pay realm dues (an optional 5 dollars for the year which gives you various rights in Khador: see the Constitution) you will be presented a basic belt flag. After a season of fighting with us, you are up for a belt-flag trial, which allows you rights to a fancy belt flag, making your own, and general use of the Khador symbol.
I don't know much about making garb, but we have a few people in Khador who do sew. Renell is really knowledgeable about this stuff and I'm sure if you ask nicely she'll be glad to help you out with crafting some garb.
If you have any other questions, let me know.

I'm in Freeport, I can stop by and teach you how to sew no problem.
To answer your questions, your pants don't have to be baggy, but most people wear baggier pants for a verity of reasons such as it looks cooler and it's harder to judge where your legs are at so it slightly increases the chances of your opponent (partially if they are newer) to misjudge the distance they need to reach to swing at it. Also, if you really want lighter color pants go for it. I've never had too much of an issue with stains that can't get out, but then again I always wash my garb after every practice and event.
In regards to armor, I'd recommend you wait until you're at least a full year active in this sport for a number of reasons. If you do wear armor right off the bat, not only does it eat up your budget and your time that should be spent on improving your weapon making abilities but you can relay on your armor too much and slows down your learning curve, so you won't be as good as you can be within a certain time frame. For example, me, I've been fighting for five years now and have attended dozens of events, and I've only worn armor twice.

Actually I live in Lena but I attend Highland, so I'm in town often. It's good that you want to learn sword n board first, it's what I recommend. As far as design goes, what did you have in mind? There are certain symbols that you can't use because they are already taken by a realm, unit, or knight, and it's not fly to use their stuff.
For garb, I have coupons to Jo Anns, so we can get good quality fabrics at half price. I'd say you're going to spend about 25 for a tunic and pants with the coupons. Might be a bit more or less depending upon what you want.
I usually have class in the mornings and I get done working out at about 12:30, so I'm pretty much open anytime afternoon Friday and Saturday this week. If it rains on Sunday, I can also stop by and teach you stuff then. I also have a sewing machine that I can bring so that won't be a problem if you don't have one.
BTW texting, I don't have that with my current plan because I suck for not thinking I actually needed it when I signed onto my current phone contract. The best chance of you getting a hold of me is here on the boards at the moment. Just send me a PM of your address and what time you are okay with me stopping by so you can show me what you have drawn up and I can help you out from there.
