Kinda late joining this topic but I guess I'll put in my 2 cents. In this sport, like most others you will expericence soreness. It happens, it's normal, and you can't make it go away instantly. There are plenty of ways to help yourself recover more efficiently which have already been mentioned. My best advice is to not rely on painkillers when possible. They might seem good because they dull the pain for a while, but if used too regularly they can have negative effects on your overall health. Asprin is not too bad, but still not ideal. Your best bet is to just get use to the soreness. After a while you will begin to embrace it. Sounds cliche, but "No Pain, No gain." is a great motto to live by. When your muscles are sore from physical activity they are becoming stronger. With that in mind, you should feel glad you are sore and it shouldn't bother you anymore. Of course there are times when the pain is to much to bear. Only then should you resort to painkillers. But even then its good to challenge youself and question if you REALLY need them.
TLDR: Don't be a pussy. Enjoy the pain. It's usually pretty good for you. Drugs are only good when the pain is too much.
Oh, and if that doesn't work you can always get shitfaced. As long as you don't mind feeling worse the next morning. lol

Even if I liked pickles (I hate 99% of them), I don't find the idea of drinking a 55 - 45 blend of vinegar to water as you see in industrial pickles to be a good thing.
I used to work with acids galore, so I know how badly that sort of thing can mess up your stomach.

When acids are thrown into your face, you don't scooby doo it and just lick it off.
