He's saying he doesn't like the time limit.
However, I disagree and agree at the same time.
I disagree to having a time limit, because I feel like we should personally approach a person and OFFER the challenge to them, when we feel we want them wearing our colors. Be it any amount of time after practicing with Khador. This is a choice that should be up to the Premier and the Officers. Not the individuals.
However, I agree with it, because a time period really allows us time to get to know the person, how they fight and how their character is. We don't want to hand flags to people who will make a fool of themselves at events or other national...things. That just makes us look bad. We've already had a couple of people in Khador give others a bad taste in their mouth. We don't want more.
So, I guess I'm really up in the air on the time bits.
Also, Dracken, to better answer your question. Advancement in Khador goes as follows.
From a guy who practices with us to Member. This is when you receive your beltflag. The trial is in order.
From Member, to Kovnik. This is after you meet the requirements for Kovnik and pass Krucible.
Currently, Kovnik is the highest non-officer position in Khador (for everyone except Wilhelm and Brooder). In order to obtain an Officer position (Kommandant, Supreme Kommant or Premier) you must be voted in by standing realm officers. Then you must pass Krucible.
However, we do have a lesser promotion. See, in summer, we usually have a lot of fighters under the age of 16 come out. Sometimes, these young fighters will prove they're amazing, dispite being young (Animal Mother for example). We put A.M. through a minor Krucible, similar to the flag trial, for the right to fight on the main field full time.
