Non-Com Rank System
First thing to be noted, is the non-coms are going to need to be skilled in multiple areas before being considered for the rank, or before they can move up in ranks. These skills are all ones beneficial to the sport. I've bulked them all in three sections. Additionally, we'll require all of our non-coms to know how to herald and check equipment. Such things will be part of their trials.
Talents
We refer to the individual skillsets as Talents. There are three builk sections for Talents: Crafting, Art and Bardic. Crafting talents are a bulk of skills involving making things. Talents would include things liek sewing, armorsmithing, leatherworking, woodworking, jewelrymaking, woodworking, candlemaking and many others. Arts are, of course, the more 'artistic' talents like painting, sculpting, cooking and many more. Bardic talents are such things as singing, dancing, drumming, storytelling, and more.
Special requirements for all ranks
Must be motioned by a Non-Com of Equal or Higher rank, then win a majority vote among all Officers and ranked Non-Coms.
Special Perk of all ranks
Ranked non-coms may be called to special meetings consisting of the Officers and the Ranked members of Khador. They will also have access to a special 'inner circle' section of the boards.

Weapons Check Trial: Must check a number of weapons, some of which will be failing. They must successfully rule out the failing weapons.

Access to Officer boards
Officer Board Limitations: Voice in there will be similar to Speaking Rights on a national level. They may give their opinion, but any major decisions will still be left to Officers. This puts a Kommander's voice slightly under a Chieftain's. Going outside of their limitations or any violation of their voice can result in losing this perk. Such violations will be including, but not limited to: Abusive comments, drawn-out arguments, expressed anger about their or other's opinions and refusal to get off of a subject that was settled.
Fighter Rank System
The Fighter ranks will all require Sponsorship. Typically, they must be sponsored by a member of the same rank. However, they can also be sponsored by an Officer who holds the same rank.
Officers wishing to move up in these ranks may be sponsored as well.
Special Requirement for all ranks
Must be motioned by a fighter of that rank or higher, then win a simple majority vote of Officers and other ranked Fighters. In this case, the person who Motioned the fighter should also act as that fighter's sponsor. (Example: An unranked member must be motioned by at least a Kaptain, a Kaptain must be motioned by at least a Kovnik, so on.)
Special Perk for all ranks
Ranked Fighters may be called to special meetings consisting of the Officers and the ranked members of Khador. Additionally, anyone who holds a rank will be given access to a special 'Inner Circle' board.

Fighter and Non-Com Rank Footnotes
Events
Two events with Khador is outlined by means of two multi-day events. Dagohir events will apply with these events. One multi-day event can be substituted by 3 mini events. At national events, we will count attendance from Friday to Sunday as 'one event'.
Rank Requirements
In the case of an officer election, a member's time served as an officer can be used for time requirements on the rank. Example: A Kovnik who is elected into an Officer position may use time served as an officer to meet the requirements for Kommander. Additionally, a member of that rank who is elected as an officer will not lose the perks of that rank. Example: A Kaptain elected as an officer may still sponsor a member of a rank lower than Kaptain. In the event that there is nobody of the rank to sponsor a member, or all members have a sponsor, a member of the next rank may serve as sponsor.
Sponsoring
A member who is being sponsored cannot also be a sponsor. Example: Froz is being Sponsored by Kracken for Kommander. During his time being sponsored, Froz could not Sponsor Kaptain Saxavarius into becoming a Kovnik. I want this to be in effect, so that the person sponsored can focus on their own improvement.
Non-Coms and Merchants
You'll see in Non-Coms, it's been mentioned about Khador booths and a possible online store. However, I believe we still should talk about the details of these things further. Non-Coms will be encouraged to learn arts and crafts that are relevant to the sport. Learning these things will make non-coms extremely valuable in helping to equip and dress fighters, along with bring a little bit of coin into our realm coffers. I have spoken to Renell on how these things should run and I think we have come to a pretty efficient system.
Khador merchant booths will be run as such. One person, an Obavnik, will be put in charge of the booth. They will register as a merchant, and Khador will pay the difference between normal and merchant fees. In this, it is up to the Obavnik to run the booth and sell items for Khador. This will work thusly: Any item sold, that was made with Realm-Bought materials, 90% of the item's selling price will go into the Khador Coffer. 10% will be given as a small comission to the person who made it. If done in the opposite manner (using their own materials) 10% of the item's cost will go into the Realm Coffer (5% if they are willing to dedicate no less than 2 hours a day working the booth) and 90% (95%) will go to the person who made the item.
This will give major opportunity, plus some motivation, for Non-Coms to learn various talents. They can make a little money, plus Khador will earn a little back into the coffers. There is, however, one catch. Khador MUST earn back the money they spent to cover the difference in the Merchant's fee. This way, the realm will not take a hit to the coffers because of a slow event. Should the booth not make enough money to pay back Khador, the responsibility is put onto the Obavnik to pay it back themselves, donate an item(s) of equal value to the realm, or come to an agreement with other crafters selling items about how to pay back Khador. Any amount of money must be paid back to the realm within one month of the event.
Contracts may be required to sign before allowing vending, to ensure that nobody tries to screw the realm. Additionally, this is still being discussed and is not set in stone. We know we WANT to do this, but we are still working on the semantics and best way for it to be ran.
Officers vs Ranked members
I believe Officers should have held the rank before being allowed to Sponsor a fighter of a similar rank. Officers, Fighters or Non-Coms, are more of political figures. In this, their focus should be on realm-relations and politics, not in getting people to move through ranks. However, an Officer may want to take time out of their service to work with and sponsor a member of Khador to help them through the ranks. This is why I believe they should require the rank before being allowed to do so.
Example: I may be Premier, but I'm also one of Khador's middle tier fighters. Based on this, I should not be allowed to Sponser a Kommander, since I do not fight on the same level as will be expected a Kommander to fight.
Ranked Fighters are the Knights. Officers are the Kings.
Exceptions to the Rules
With putting in the new ranks, we need people to fill these ranks. With Kaptain and Kommander, we had a good discussion on who would be a good standard for these ranks, who would become the bar to reach for anyone aspiring to move up in them. So, at the beginning of the next season, we'll be having a few trials on the start. Several people were considered, but we made our decision. Doofie will be filling the shoes of the first Kaptain of Khador. Kracken shall become the first Kommander of Khador. Additionally, I, too, will be trialed in as a Kaptain. While we did think I should be given Kovnik, I thought it better to start from the bottom. I don't feel I meet that standard our Kovniks have set.
With the Non-Com Ranks, this one was pretty easy of a discussion. Lady Renell will be the first Obavnik of Khador. There is still a bit of discussion regarding the Kouldun rank, we couldn't come to a clear decision of anyone for Magviev.
Encouragement
First, just by having these ranks, some fighters and non-coms will look at it and say "I want that." Members of Khador should be encouraged to improve themselves with the ranking as an award. Additionally, while it will be a requirement for non-com ranks, fighters should also be encouraged to volunteer at events and practices for various services. We may not REQUIRE fighters to perform services at events or practices, but if they are willing to do so, it should raise their chances of being considered for the ranks of Khador.
Can I do both?
Yes. Any member of Khador can go through any rank. We had a very lengthy discussion regarding this. We have people who kind of fight, but mostly do Non-Com things. We have fighters who love doing Non-Com things. So, yes, you could hold both a fighter rank and a non-com rank. These are two completely different skillsets, both which are invaluable to Khador. The time and dedication involved in moving up either rank is going to be difficult. If someone really wants to push themselves to climb through both, then have fun. Honestly, it's going to be difficult for anyone to blimb through both of these ranks.
