Numenor's Fall Opener will be held on August 28th at the Japan House. Weapon's Check will commence at 10:00am. Like earlier this year, there will be no event fee, but donations are greatly appreciated.
There will be 2 sets of tourneys: a vet portion and newb portion. There will be a sword and board, florentine, and single blue tourney for both vets and newbs. Vets will have an a...rchery and red tournament available. There will also be a two man tourney, which will combine teams based upon years in fighting.
Lastly, food will be provided.
For more information, please either post here, send an email to numenor.web@gmail.com, or check out numenor.info (waivers are there).
NB: Rules regarding minors. The minimum age to fight is 16. ALL 16 & 17 year olds need a signed, notarized waiver as well as a government-issued ID.
Directions to the Japan House:
Take I74 to Lincoln (the exit immediately after Neil) and head South. Continue down Lincoln until you reach Florida (it's about 2 miles from the exit and is a 4-way intersection with a stoplight). Stay on Lincoln; on your left will be a big open field, and on the right will be soccer fields. Keep straight until you see a parking lot on your left. Turn into that parking lot or if all the spots are taken, park on the street and walk through the treeline eastward.

Edit: I might be in Springfield that weekend, so I can't say for sure that you guys have a seat in my car right now. I'll keep you guys abreast. Mmmm, abreast.

Will have to check with work, but sounds good otherwise. I like minis!
This confuses me though: "Like earlier this year, there will be no event fee, but donations are greatly appreciated." You get charged and can donate? That's cool, just checking. What is this charge?

Sigh. I copied and pasted. To be clear...there is NO fee, BUT if you would like to donate to their cause...they would like that.
I'm still trying to see if I can make this one, but I wanted to pass on the good word to all those who get that hankering to kill a man just after breakfast.

The Vet tournaments include: single blue, florentine, sword and board, red, and archery. The Newb tournaments include: single blue, florentine, sword and board. There is also a team of 2 tournament, where a vet and newb get teamed up against other duos!

lol No guilt trip, but now that I reread it it kinda looks like that.
Champaign, IL to answer your question. From Rockford, take 39 South to Bloomington, while there change over to 74 East.

You've never been to Champaign?...the U of I? It's a good place to party. Ahh the memories! EIU has a few for me, but the UofI has the best! All in all, it's about a 3hr drive if you go the speed limit. I'm there about once a month. I've been driving it for 4 years, so it's nothing to me.

Who goes the speed limit? Think it's more like 2.5 hours from Freeport. had a friend who went to school there and said it was like an hour from DeKalb which is 90 minutes from the PC area so yeah. Good to plan for longer though just to be safe.
Haha, yes, he returns and best of all, it's not dealing with me! *happy dance*
