A low weight, high rep workout won't change your shape alot, if it changes at all QFT. What it will do is tone and tighten the muscle you currently do have.

It's also good for muscular endurance. You wanna lift a car over your head (eventually), high weight low reps. You wanna be able to lift much less weight (i.e. carrying a shield around all day while swinging a weapon) but be able to do it indefinately, low weight high reps.

Haha, although I'd love to be like Mr. Incrediable, think I'll go with the low weights, high reps for a while. Once again, thanks everyone! Now I just need to steel some weights...unless I could just continue with throwing a 20ish lb toddler in the air....although she kicks now more than she used. LOL.

Since you want to arch, that muscular endurance will help you out a lot. Drawing, holding, then aiming and all. It puts a fair amount of stress on your arms. So, start out with ten pound free weights. Do fifty to a hundred reps with them a couple times a day, three days a week. I'd suggest splitting the reps between more than one lifting exorcise. If you can get under a barbell, try benching 30 or so pounds 30 - 50 times. A good stamnia/cardio routine is 30-60s. Run for thirty seconds, then lightly jog for sixty. Do that five or so times. Or lower it to 15-30. Me, I'm going to start doing 15-30-60 and add sixty seconds of walking until I get conditioned enough. Just remember, above and beyond what anyone says, TAKE IT SLOW. Jump into too much, too fast, and you will hurt yourself. Listen to what your body has to say while you're working out. Feeling the burn is one thing. Horrible pain is another.

Mark McGuiare didn't hit home run after home run when he first started playing baseball. Work your way up and take it easy at first. Remember, sometimes, less is more.

Mark McGuire also used riods.
Okay, had the dress fitting today. Believe it or not, I actually could lose some off my stomach. I think if I eat one bite at the reception, I'm going to go Hulk on that dress.....and that wouldn't be good. So yeah, any advice to take like 1/2 an inch or more or something off of my stomach within 3 weeks?

Kara, you should be glad that I've known you for years, because that is the only way I know that you're just stupid sometimes and you're not being a troll which would merit a banning...
Yeeah, that was a runon. I don't care. I'm still buzzing.

The only way to really lost tummy fat and love handles is cardio. If you any sort of tummy exercises, your going to build muscle, but it's going to build underneath the fat, and well push your tummy out.
