So personally I think we did badass at rhun. We were easily the most organized realm. Any thoughts from anyone on how we did or what we can do better?
I really like how we treat realm fights same as unit battles.

Alright so here's a play by play narration and commonaty from what I remember and seeing these pics. If I am wrong on something, please correct me. Here's us in a rather tight pack off to fuck up OEF, plus Rarashi and Art. We might have been forced to squeeze in tight like that because it was small, but I'd like to see us open up a bit more. Here's us in good formation and 5 seconds away from ruining their fun. I like to suggest that Waffle should be up right to Kracken and Irosndies should be right between Kracken and myself. Both Kracken and myself should open up a bit more and give them room. Q is about to do his own thing which he does best: Go Rogue. Frozgarr should follow him and Bluff should be between Q and Critter. Sirilay should also direct us were to go, since she should be the only one without tunnel vision. Now, at this point, we need to make quick work of OEF, which we did. Sirilay should also let us do our job and she should be looking towards the second target and take out their number one vet. In process of making quick work of them. Good job guys. Waffle, you should be up at teh point and just sweep legs or just start reding people. Your advantage is range and force, and you can't use them if you're hanging back. Frozgar, you need to flank around with Q and fuck them up from behind, because that's what florenteers do best. We didn't take as much damage, but a bit more than I would have liked. I assume this was during a Hold call. It just looks like we only have to worry about Bo and Jarvis from Rhun. After the presumable hold call, Stonehouse guys ran in and chumped us. Kracken what were you trying to do? Waffle you should have started trying to take Hurin's legs there. I should have ran in and supported Kracken and take that nice and open arm of Peters. Aftermath. Not a whole lot we could have done. Second round- Good formation Waffle is up at the point doing his job, using range to his advantage. He can hit them and they can't hit back. Ironsides you should get up on the point too because you're in rage to stab them, they are in range to start hitting your teammates. Bo should be your number one target. Even if you can't hit him, distract him and throw him off so one of us can get a better chance of killing him. Frozgar is off preventing people from flanking around and hitting Sirilay and us from behind. Did a second realm flank around so we split off? Hard to tell from this pic. Apparently we made it out and only lost sad lonely Waffle. We got back into formation again. Good job guys. Round three- We moved places because that pocket sucked. Here we killin some random people. This is where we had Bo from behind and Cyrlic is about to join the party. These two pics you see Kracken take Bo's arm. Good job. I wanted to finish off the job and no longer worry about him, so I ran after him. .6 seconds until knee killed himself. Bo did the best thing he could do and try to bash me into the ground. This was taken .8 seconds after my knee blew out from the weight of me, Bo's shield, and Bo. I don't know what happened to Frozgarr. A nut shot? Did Critter and the rest of the group keep heading that way and Q ran off? Round four- Kara's pics did not give me a good idea of what was going on other than it looks like you guys were just overwhelmed by numbers and swamped from two or three sides. Overall we did a lot better and I see a lot of improvements that we've been working on at practices. We are communicating a lot better and utilizing our roles. We aren't the best fighters and we don't have the numbers, but you would have not guessed that during realm battles. Anything else to discuss?

We did alot of things pretty well, and I agree that we probably would benefit from opening up the formation some.
I have two things to add.
1. Once we have the numbers, I'd like to start training a goup of dedicated flankers. Good distraction to the main enemy line is always valuable, as well as the abilities to go down the back of their line for backshots, split up their line, and going after their archers.
2. I really like how Froz held the end of the line to prevent flankers from getting in behind us. I think we should try to incorperate that some more.
Overall, we did well and I think we'll continue to improve if we keep up the squad fights we were doing.

I really like how we did. We definitely have room for improvement though.
I don't think I was nutshotted in that one pic. Actually, I'm pretty sure I managed to go the whole event without a peanut butter. I can hardly believe it myself. lol

I love the picture where I'm like "OH SHIT IT'S BO!" I think I had just speared someone and was turning my attention to Bo. However, I think you blew your knee before I could move in to try and distract him.
I see where I need to get more on point. Thanks for pointing that out. I certainly am going to work on that. Also, this event really showed me where my major weaknesses with spearing lies. Versus other poles, and holding on to my damn backup blue. I launched my sword a couple of times in mid-thrust. I think I'll get a lanyard or something when I get my sword going.
I've never had to fight pole versus pole before until RC. Though I do know some of the basics, thanks to some reading and watching other PvP fights, I really need to work on that. Bluff, when I get my second spear up and going, I would like to take the time to spar 8 foot on 8 foot spears with you. Waffle, I would like to spend some time fighting spear v glaive with you.
I also seem to throw a LOT of glances when I'm shooting for legs, as Bo had pointed out to me. That's another big thing I need to work with. Spearmen are no good if they can't properly shank legs. Brooder, Kracken, since Hydra is known for spearing (dispite I know you both S&B) would you help me with improving?
Overall, though, we did fantastic compared to our previous records with realm battles. We certainly do have a lot of room for improvement, though. But I was very impressed with how well we did.
Quarian, I second your motion for training flankers and would like to help you out in any way that I can.
EDIT: As for overall improving in realm battles, I believe asides from our personal improvement, the main things we need to work on is our communication and practicing our roles in a realm battles. I think this would be best done with "Event Actives versus The World". Where we take the fighters who have attended at least one event and plan on attending events in the future, and fight everyone else in the realm. Of course, I would fully shoot to doing this at practices where Brooder and Kracken are both present.
Kracken and Brooder work well together taking command of Khador. You guys seem to compliment each other in your commanding. I think if we work on overall commanding, along with practicing our roles, Khador could come to dominate in realm battles.
One thing I noticed, we don't seem to do much for disrupting enemy formation. We can work on this with two different styles. Flankers, as Quarian had mentioned, and front-line shieldmen. A big shield running flat into a line can do good at throwing them off long enough for flankers to get behind them.

In the 5th picture was when we had rhun pinned and I moved to put pressure on their side/back. That picture was taken as I tried to turd and swing, which was after about three hits from Peter. I was long past dead.
I really want to continue running realm battles like we're a unit. I like that. Running the realm like it's family really makes for good fighting.
Back to business: Yes, training a flank squad is good. If any one is going to be hanging out in the back it's going to be whatever new guy decided to show to the event. Give 'em a shield and have then defend the archer.
On that: we need about three more people like Sirilay. Quick, accurate archers that can get low and shoot enemy polearms from the ground up. That means recruiting more people. More good people. Tough stuff.
Also next season I want to get in some more squad fights. Might revamp the setup but we should do them more often.

More archers in general would be a good idea. Khador only has three archers period.
I would also like to see another red on our side. Doofie's going to start doing events soon, we should work more with him on his red/green work.

I'm all for developing a more organized flanking quad. I always seem to be at my best when I'm a flanker. Particularly since I've become a part of Jester's, a primarily flanking unit, I've seemed to become more comfortable and effective when flanking. With that being said, as a Kovnik I would be glad to lead the flanking quad along with Quarian unless a higher ranking member would rather take the position. I think we can become really dangerous if we have a group that focuses mainly on practicing flanking techniques and strategy.

I'm not to terribly good at fighting on the line...always considered myself a flanker, but after that practice where i got my lip split i've started to consider doing arching with a boyscout bow as a secondary. Now that i have a job that's stealin all my belegarth time....i can afford a bow and some arrows, hell maybe even a quiver situation.

Yeah, you are a pretty good flanker, Lloyd. I could see you being a decent archer as well.

Doc threw you on some new pills, huh? Hope that works out for ya, Renell. It'd be nice seeing you arching again.

Lloyd I've seen have some amazing patience for flanking. Something that I can't say I have in myself. More of a suicide bomber personally. Critter too would be good for that. I've seen that boy run his ass off to get in place. Practice different things with everyone would be a ton of fun. At events it will always boil down to how many people we've got handy, then order up different jobs for everyone. Spears are about the only thing that will always be front and center. The idea of a flanking spearman makes my brain itch. Although I've seen Barley pass through a line as an archer and kickass.
Assigning command roles on people will be done per need, but it never hurts to practice. At HD practice yesterday I finally get why the jesters fight so well together. It's because they NEVER not fight with each other. Last game of the day all five jumped in on one side after sitting out 4 games. GAY.
