Just thought it might be easier to have one thread for whatever happens to come up in regards to this topic. ---------------------
For starters: 1. We had a sort of practice, not sure if you want to call it official or not, yesterday (Sunday, March 13th). It was small, but went well. Thanks to all you came out!
2. Are we going to continue on with practices every Sunday now, weather permitting, with the exceptions of holidays which can be discussed as they come up?
3. A Secondary Practice? Anyone interested? What day? Where? What time? Who's running/in charge of it?

You are ahead of me. Once Aldeen drys up I think we should hit back there on a regular bases now. I can't imagine it'd still be anything but muddy and cold at the moment. And as far as I can tell, just about everyone is too busy to have a functional and worthwhile second practice with it being mid semester and people having jobs and all. However, I know Sirilays trying to get something together, but I don't know all the details at the moment.

Also, since the weather is supposed to be pretty nice this week, anyone interesting in getting together and spar and whatnot (NOT an official, actual, set practice), just a one time random get together...weather pending.
Since this is my idea, seems I should be partially in charge of it. I'd like to say Wednesday or Thursday but pushing more towards Thursday at the current moment. But yeah, basically the 2nd half of the week. If anyone's interested, please let me know! Post on here or hit me up via facebook. I don't always sign in when I come on here, so I may miss a PM on here. Thank you!

Aldeen wasn't so bad. It just was just one of those days when the sun was out, it was nice. When it was behind clouds, it was chilly. Hopefully it'll be warmer next week. I think it'd be fine to continue practices as scheduled, if the weather holds.
I'd be fine doing a secondary practice.
I want to say, we need to do a couple things before the season gets it's full-blown kickstart. Namely, we should make waivers and sign in sheets. I also really, really would like to push to always have a herald on the field this season. Even if I have to dig up my yellow and do it myself.

If we have an official unofficial practice next Sunday, I'll see if I can bring something special to it.

Does anyone have a blank copy of our normal and minor's waivers? We're gonna need a bunch printed off before sunday. Everyone is signing one this year. Gotta get on the ball about this.

So...we're officially having Sunday practices from now on? I have people asking about it.
Also, working on the waiver thing right now. How many should we start with or does someone have free printer access?

Yep. Got waivers. Just give me a number for starters. Figure we'll need more of the adult waivers than the minor...at for starters.

you should not ever need more than 20 blank waivers at a time..so should not have to worry about free printer access..send me the waivers I will print them for you no problem. I have kodak printer so ink is really cheap for me... ladyrenellofgilead@gmail.com

I would have been at the practice last sunday if I would have known people would actually show up. Waffle and I saw Griff at crazy penguins last night and he told us about it. Unless it's pouring rain we will definitely be there this sunday regardless of temperature.

I'll be there this Sunday as long as the weather is good. And since none of you made it down to opener, I'll be bringing the gift of Sir Angel.

If we can get the waivers printed off then we can have the most of us sign off on that and get it done and out of the way. We should set a date for the official start of the season too, more for dues to start coming in.
@ bluness: We collect realm dues every year. It's 5$ that goes toward upkeeping loaner equipment and shtuff. It's not really required but it goes a long way to help everything out.

Fliers shall be there this Sunday. Should have enough for the usual crowd and then extras. Froz, Woozle, don't forget, I'm covering your guys' dues this year. (Pay back for pizza & for the camera disc/birthday gift). Hopefully that will get done this Sunday too, unless I see Ironside first. Bluness: Dues are optional. They make you a paying/voting member of the realm. Without paying dues, you can't nominate, be nominated, or vote in an election, etc. It's all in our realm constitution which is on here somewhere. Honestly, not to discourage you or anything, but I'd wait a few practices before paying, if you decide to, just to make sure that this is something you want to stick with. Actually....(to everyone) just randomly thought about this...a paid member should fulfill all the requirements of a non-paid member right? The fighting name, garb, and signed waiver? Of course though, anyone who sets foot on the field with a weapon in hand should have a signed waiver, even if we're never going to see the person again. Hence why I've probably gone a bit overboard on the waivers, but oh well. They'll get used eventually.

So far, as far as I know, practice is still on for today....Sunday, March 27th, 2010. It's supposed to only be in the high 30's (as of 10pm news on Saturday), so remember to dress appropriately. If anyone knows of anything different, please post and inform others.
I will have waivers, but I have a family thing, so I'm going to be an hur or two late for practice. If anything with practice changes, someone, PLEASE let me know....via phone.

If it's down-pouring then I'd say it's a bust, but if it's just a sprinkle and still scattered storms then we'll either bear through it of clear out the pavilion.
