Yeah, apparently I'm in charge of this now.
So yeah, want to get the ball rolling since 1, I was told to, and 2, like to get a lot of this figured out before I get boggled down with school and work.
So RockCon...we want to do a demo again?
Same run down as previous years, although I was thinking of having more things for people to see, besides just us fighting.
It's moved this year too. It's not the first weekend in November. Otherwise, same basics...need 5-6 names...guessing I'm included in that...for people to show up....day and time we'd like to have for the demo....think how long we want to go for too possibly. Can do names when it gets closer, for now...yeah, do we still want to do this and which day and when?

Yes, we absolutely want to do this again. We have a blast every year.
As for names, you can count me in right on the spot.
As for more things, Belegarth is mostly about fighting. Fighting is what we do. Besides, what else would there be to have?
We should get a Saturday slot again. That's what we had last year (if memory serves me right) and there was a ton of traffic. I suggest the following: Better posters, try for a larger area, more weapon types, both standards displayed.

I am completely in on this...I agree with Ironside we need bigger signs and better representation on this so yeah both standards up and showing in all their splendor. We need to have our best garb too not just come in whatever. We are showing people the face of Belegarth so we want to show the best of Belegarth we can. Kim is having a sewing/birthday party on Friday night What say we get started on some Awesome Garb for this everyone that can attend???

Even though by the time this goes down I'll be sporting the emo dragon, I might be down for stopping by to fight for a while. That's what we need in the demo: flashy, showy fighting that's fun to watch. And no one's better at having flash without much substance than I. lol

Yeah, wasn't sure where to put this, so just went with this section. The demo...is well a demonstration of what we do. Basically sparring one-on-one or in small groups. Fighters vs fighters, fighters vs the public.
Brooder, I've already been in contact with the event staff. Did that before I even posted anything on here.
Names won't be needed til later, but shall I say 5 people, 10 people, or somewhere inbetween? I know it's like 3-4 months away yet but they're asking for numbers already. Last year there Tenyr arranged for slots for 5, so although we had more than 5 people take part, only the first 5 names given were able to get in for free...at least I think we got in for free. I don't remember paying at least.
Fighters MUST have garb. I wouldn't say it needs to be fancy, but nice garb that isn't full of holes, follows the rules, is clean, etc. would be great...although I did go with fancier garb last year myself, but I wasn't fighting either.
This year, thinking of making a photo album of photos for display too. We will be able to have photos on posters and other printable things a lot easier with the (hopefully still) unlimited printing at school. Maybe make up some fliers this year too.

Say 10. If they think that's to much, then so be it. And seriously we need as much space as possible. This can not be emphasized enough. And we need to make sure people are given the message that this is a adult sport. Some of the videos I've seen from last year and me being there the year previous gives me the impression that parents think we're a daycare center.

I would like to help with this as well; if there is anything i can do to help let me know also, just a sugestion but, try to find out if the soccer area is open for a small group/squad fight demo; it is more accurate to what really happens on the field

I want to make one thing extremely clear, though. We want as few non-coms as absolutely possible. I would honestly say no more than 1 or 2 people. I also want to say, Kovniks and Officers should have priority for attendance slots.

Still waiting to hear anything but we'll go with ten. Seems both years I've gone to Rock Con there's been a soccer tournament going on on the other side of the building, so doubt we can get that area.
I probably won't be fighting at all since I'm running this thing so would that be only other not fighting person (as in would the two include me) or no? People to look pretty is always nice.
